Anyone who has ever owned a piece of technology has
certainly used a Trust accessory . Often this brand is identified as a company
that offers cheap products, but of not excellent quality , but in recent years
things have changed, especially in the gaming field and especially with this
GXT 880 keyboard ! To dispel this bad myth, the Trust gave us the opportunity
to test products, in order to give you our personal opinion and we are happy to
tell you that, always maintaining their cost-effectiveness, the company

Economical and innovative - GXT White
Mechanical keyboards have the peculiarity of having a switch
for each key that changes from keyboard to keyboard. In recent years, in the
field of gaming, the Cherry MX Red variants have established themselves , but
Trust offers us its alternative: GXT White .
According to the company, these switches offer the
performance of the Cherry MX Red with the cancellation of the
"clicky", the noise associated with the click, and we confirm that it
is true .
These switches offer softness and at the same time also robustness
allowing long gaming and writing sessions without any discomfort to the fingers
.
There are usually switches dedicated mainly to gaming and
others to writing and a few, but the more expensive ones, offer a good level on
both fronts and the economic alternative to those are the GXT White .
We have tried the best of the keyboard on both fields: we
have played games where the keyboard is the master such as League of Legends
and titles where the response time is fundamental such as Rainbow: Six Siege ,
but also many other more recent ones such as Star War: Battlefront II and Call
of Duty: World War II . A convenience that has been incorporated into this
keyboard is the Gmode key, located above the numeric keypad, which allows us to
disable the Windows key, so as to avoid accidentally opening the quick menu in
game.
In the field of writing it excels, but not very much unlike the less economic competition.
Although there is no "clicky", which for long sessions could be
annoying, at each release of the key we could hear the same sound of a spring,
especially in the space bar . In terms of comfort, it is truly impeccable, but
we have often preferred to put on headphones so as not to hear that annoying
noise.
The complete keyboard that does not miss anything ... even imperfections
The quality level is excellent and the materials used in the
construction are of excellent workmanship , from the keys to the switches and
then to the cable.
This keyboard offers us everything, including keys for
musical functions and others dedicated to brightness. This however is not an
RGB , but only with white LEDs, with adjustable brightness or with fixed
selection, flashing or serpentine; we can choose whether to leave it on or off
and finally, thanks to a combination of keys, we can create our personal
profiles so as to choose which keys to leave on or not up to a maximum of 6
different profiles .
The USB cable is covered with an excellent fabric and thanks
to the guidelines at the bottom of the keyboard we could use it for greater
comfort. Furthermore we would have the possibility to raise the keyboard thanks
to two feet placed at the two ends of the upper part.
despite everything, even this keyboard has imperfections in
the construction: some keys have the writing smudged ; the feet are indeed
comfortable, but not rubberized. On desks with a smooth top they tend to slip;
moreover, software could be implemented
to better manage the keyboard.
The final verdict
The Trust GXT 880 is definitely a recommended hardware for
those who want to buy a quality mechanical keyboard without spending too much .
